Check out Dean Park

This playground is a little far for us, but we went here after hearing good things about it. I definately agree with the comment on playground mapper. This is a great park / playground in Shrewsbury. There is tons to do here. It's not close enough to be my favorite local playground, but it is one of the top. I put the link below for more info. Information on Dean Park Playground

fav. local playground

The Hannah Williams Playground in Wayland, MA is our favorite. The "castle" structure is great and it the playground gets plenty of shade from the nearby trees.

My favorite local park

I have to nominate "Munchkin Park" (behind town hall) in Stoneham. It is almost entirely covered in shade around the main areas of the park, and is always around 15-20 degrees cooler there on a hot day. You can stay all day if you pack lunch and snacks, and both the town hall and police station beside it will allow you to use the restrooms, so no more having to leave when Junior does the pee-pee dance! They have wooden climbing structures,6 total slides of varying styles and sizes, 2 zip lines, monkey bars and a climbing "Dome",swings( both baby and big kids swings and a tire swing), and a sandbox. There is also wide enough space to play a game of anything you can get enough kids for. If you do forget to pack luch, there are several little cafe's a block away in town center, not too far for little legs. The Benches are available as are covered picnic tables. The parents are generally friendly, and you will see the same faces alot. Best park ever!!!
