Friday Night Supper Program (http://www.fridaynightsupper.org) provides a nutritious, home-cooked meals to the homeless and hungry people of Boston in a safe and dignified environment every Friday night from 5 to 7 p.m. They have served 13,000 meals a year to those in need every Friday night since 1984. Greenhouse and Fieldwork at Waltham Fields Community Farms (http://communityfarms.org/) relies on volunteers to further their mission of reclaiming farmland, relieving hunger in communities and reconnecting people with the knowledge of sustainable food production. Serve a Meal at Friday Night Supper Program! This soup kitchen has been operating every Friday night in the basement of Arlington Street Church for over 24 years, never missing a Friday. Help to serve a meal to approximately 150 people in need. This project is kid-friendly for those 12 and up with one-on-one parent supervision. “Horizons for Homeless Children” is looking for volunteers to play with great children for 2 hours a week. Your time can make a world of difference for children living in homeless shelters in Massachusetts. Several shelters are located on the North Shore, including Lynn, Revere, Malden, Lowell, Lawrence, Tewksbury, Peabody, Salem and Gloucester.
